Welcome to This Bruised Reed. I acknowledge that I am but a sinner. I continuously make mistakes, fall to my knees, become bruised and torn, but I always strive to move forward and call to mind that I am Loved by a God unlike any other. Isaiah says “A bruised reed he will not break, and a dimly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice.” (Isaiah 42:3) I am the bruised Reed that He will not break, and I will faithfully commit my life to “bring forth justice” for all who are oppressed and all who are devalued.
As a fair warning, I’m not a particularly good writer, but I have many thoughts and truly enjoy sharing them and conversing about them. I write like I talk, so I ask that if you do decide to comment on my poor grammar or spelling, please send it in a private message. I’m open to that kind of criticism, but poor grammar or spelling does not negate nor further a point or a position. Which means that the comment section is no place for grammar nazi’s. Thanks for your discretion.
Lastly, thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and provide feedback and disagreements. I ask that disagreements be kept civil. If they turn hostile, they will be deleted. I am all for a spirited debate and quite enjoy reading differing opinions, but I know that once people start attacking the person or using horrible language, that things tend to escalate. I’d rather that not happen. Keep discussion civil.
